THE CHILDCARE NEW BUSINESS GRANTS SCHEME

The Childcare New Business Grants Scheme

Future nursery owners or childminders are being encouraged by the Government to apply for a chunk of £2 million that has been allocated to help them set up their own businesses.

The Childcare New Business Grants Scheme has been introduced to boost the provision of childcare in England and to incentivise entrepreneurship. The Scheme allows people to apply for grants of up to £500 to help start a new nursery or childminding business, £1000 for a new childminding business that will provide care for disabled children and £1000 for a new nursery, out of school club, or childcare on domestic premises. The scheme is available to those new enterprises setting up in England only and the grant is designed to cover start-up costs such as insurance, training and equipment etc.

Applications are required before the end of Dec 2015.
