There is a growing number of Service Family Children in York schools and most schools claim the Service Pupil Premium. However, there is some evidence that not all schools are asking parents whether their children are eligible. With the ongoing drawdown of troops from Germany and the policy of encouraging Service personnel to buy their own houses there are now Service Pupils living right across the city.

The AFF, NFF, RAF websites all provide information on the eligibility criteria and information on what SPP is.
